World Cup 2034 Stadiums: The Bid Plan and the Reported Revision

The Saudi bid book of July 2024 proposed 15 stadiums: ten new builds and five renovations across Riyadh (8), Jeddah (4), Khobar (1), Abha (1) and NEOM (1), every one of them above FIFA's 45,000-capacity floor. It was one of the strongest parts of a bid FIFA scored 4.2 out of 5.
In October 2026, reporting by Semafor and City A.M. described a revised plan of ten stadiums, dropping five new builds — NEOM, New Murabba, ROSHN, Qiddiya Coast and King Abdullah Economic City — amid Public Investment Fund budget cuts. Saudi authorities have not confirmed the revision. This hub keeps all 15, labelled: the ten as the apparent current plan, the five as reported dropped, each with its own full page.
